Pipewise (UK) Limited

The Pipewise Depot was set up in Chalky Road, Broadmayne, some eleven years ago. It is ideally located for its Dorset operations. Initially there were four people employed at the Depot.

Business has virtually doubled since the start and there is now a team of eight staff, mainly recruited from the local community. Business operations from Broadmayne now extend to cover Devon, Wiltshire, Hampshire, and West Sussex. Headquarters are based at Bristol, and there are, in all, five operational depots throughout the British Isles, the second largest of which is the Broadmayne Depot.

Since 1981, Pipewise has developed from its original identity as a respected bulk distributor of agricultural land drainage products into a major specialist stockholder and distributor of plastic pipe systems supplying the construction industry, civil engineering, agriculture, local authorities and utilities. Pipewise depots supply comprehensive systems for many varied applications including drainage, ducting, water supply and irrigation and are premier distributors of storage tanks for oil, water and chemicals, plus interceptors, septic tanks and cesspools. We are also the sole UK distributor of Flexitwin, a unique twin walled ducting system for, amongst other uses, telecommunications.

The success of Pipewise – Plastic Pipe Professionals – can be attributed to many quality aspects of the company including massive stocks, excellent delivery service, and helpful staff whose market and product knowledge are second to none.

This winning combination has enabled Pipewise to become a force in the UK plastic pipe industry with a service covering the whole of the UK and more depots planned for the near future.

In Broadmayne, the firm has become fully integrated into village life. We make donations to various local groups and charities, and for the past three years have been the main sponsors of the village soccer team. There is a good rapport between the company, the parish council and the village community as a whole.
